Anthony Santoro Sr. - President

President of Santoro Oil, Anthony Santoro Sr., has been immersed in the oil industry since childhood. His father, the company’s founder, often took young Anthony out on the trucks starting around age 9. By 13, he was doing actual work for the company and then joined full time after graduating from high school. His experience spans from basic jobs through upper management, and he takes his knowledge of the business and the oil industry into his position as president.

Because he’s worn a number of hats within the company, he understands what goes into every job at Santoro Oil. He sees it as a family business, and makes sure everyone who works for the company knows they’re cared about like family. His customer service philosophy starts with the employees—to ensure the best possible customer service, he makes sure his employees know if they have a personal problem, the company is there to help them. Anthony believes when his employees are taken care of, they’re more focused on the job and provide better service to the customer.

In his downtime, Anthony likes to golf, go to the Bahamas with his wife, and enjoy good food. Among his favorite things are the ocean, nice weather, and good company.

Matt Volpe - General Manager

Matt Volpe has been in the oil industry for 8 years, first getting involved in this field after college. Ever since, he’s had a solid dedication to Santoro Oil. Within his job, Matt wears a number of different hats, mainly working closely to resolve whatever issues come up with employees or customers. Working with such a varied, wide range of people is his favorite part about being a general manager, and he likes taking the team approach to keeping customers happy. Working together as a group to ensure each customer’s needs are met is his key approach to customer service. In his spare time he enjoys golfing and running the company softball team.

George Fantacone - Service Manager

George Fantacone has been in the oil industry for over 25 years. On a typical day, he arrives at work early in the morning, schedules jobs, orders parts, runs training classes for servicemen, and handles any other tasks that come up. He strives to ensure customers are completely satisfied with the company’s service. George’s favorite part of his job is teaching and training— so much in fact, he’s the Vice President of the National Association of Oil and Energy Service Professionals. The association raises money for scholarships and helps students get into school for heating and air conditioning services. In addition to that, he’s also on the Technical Advisory Committee at New England Tech, helping write curriculum with instructors so lessons are up-to-date for technicians going into the industry. He’s married, has two daughters, and enjoys golfing in the summer.

Peggy Boyd - Human Resources

Peggy Boyd is the Human Resources representative with Santoro Oil. In a typical work week, she deals with payroll, employee benefits and anything else having to do with Santoro Oil employees.

While this job presents a number of challenges for Peggy, such as time constraints and ensuring the company is in compliance with labor laws, she really enjoys being there for the employees and helping them. She believes that customers are the bread and butter of a company, but from an HR standpoint, she also believes that the people employed within the company are vitally important, too. She goes above and beyond for both customers and her fellow employees.

Peggy enjoys the outdoors, walking, hiking, and has a rescue cat named Oliver.
